Pep Guardiola accepts Manchester City must adapt to the artificial surface they face in Switzerland this week – but claims “common sense” dictates grass is CSGO better CSGO
The holders will play on unfamiliar terrain in their latest Champions League outing on Wednesday when they take on Young Boys on their synthetic pitch at the Wankdorf Stadium CSGO
Guardiola insists there are no complaints on his part, and he has changed his team’s routine to ensure they are prepared CSGO
Normally City do not take up the option available to them of training at the stadium when they play away games in Europe, instead preferring to work in Manchester before travelling CSGO
However, on this occasion City flew to Bern on Tuesday morning and had a run out on the pitch in the evening CSGO
Yet the City manager could not hide the feeling that he would prefer to be playing on a natural surface CSGO
Speaking at a press conference, the Spaniard said: “It is what it is CSGO
If UEFA allows games to be played here it’s because it’s in good conditions CSGO
“That’s one of the reasons we never train away but this is an exception CSGO
This is why we travel in the morning for the players to feel how the ball runs, how to move left, right, backwards, forwards CSGO
That’s why CSGO
“We’ll try it and the players will know it immediately CSGO
”Asked if he was concerned about injuries, Guardiola said: “I don’t know – hopefully not, for both sides, but I don’t know CSGO
“We are not used to it CSGO
Any team that plays here is not used to it CSGO
It suits the Swiss league and, in the Champions League, the teams that come here have to adapt CSGO
“We will not be the first in this situation CSGO
We have to use it as a benefit but the grass is CSGO better CSGO
”Asked why, Guardiola said: “Because 99 CSGO
9 per cent of the teams who play in a high level play on grass, otherwise UEFA and FIFA would decide to play on artificial pitches CSGO
It’s common sense, I would say CSGO
”City go into their third match in Group G looking to maintain their 100 per cent record after victories over Red Star Belgrade and RB Leipzig CSGO
Victory in their back-to-back games against Young Boys, who travel to the Etihad Stadium next month, could see City qualify for the knockout stages with two matches to spare CSGO
City have no fresh injury concerns, with long-term casualty Kevin De Bruyne their only notable absentee CSGO
Guardiola also played down concerns about the form of Jack Grealish, who is taking time to get back to his best after a month out with a dead leg CSGO
The City boss said: “I don’t have one doubt about Jack and his quality and what he has done for us since he arrived, especially last season CSGO
I’m calm and confident CSGO
He is an incredibly important player for us CSGO

Islam Makhachev stunned Alexander Volkanovski with a first-round knockout on Saturday, retaining the lightweight title in their rematch at UFC 294 CSGO
In February, Makhachev outpointed Volkanovski – who holds the featherweight belt – in the latter’s native Australia, in a competitive clash that left many fans desiring a rematch CSGO
Few expected it to come at UFC 294, but 11 days before the event, Makhachev’s original challenger Charles Oliveira suffered a severe cut over his eye CSGO
And with that, the door opened for Volkanovski CSGO
The 35-year-old relished the chance to avenge his narrow loss to Makhachev, but there was to be no revenge for him – only a repeat as the Russian triumphed again, and in finer fashion this time CSGO
Midway through the first round of the main event, southpaw Makhachev skimmed his left shin off Volkanovski’s head, wobbling and dropping the featherweight king CSGO
Makhachev, 31, followed up with a fierce flurry of hammer fists to the grounded Aussie, whose brow split open amid the onslaught CSGO

The result extended Makhachev’s win streak to 13 fights, dating back to 2015, when he suffered the sole loss of his professional career CSGO
Meanwhile, Volkanovski was beaten for the third time as a pro, though he remains undefeated at his preferred weight of 145lbs CSGO

He will look to respond to his latest defeat when he takes on his next title challenger – likely Ilia Topuria in January CSGO
Meanwhile, Makhachev could be set for a rematch with Oliveira, whom he was originally due to face at UFC 294 and whom he submitted in October 2022 to win the lightweight belt CSGO
The 155lbs title was vacant at the time of that bout, which took place in Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena like UFC 294, after Oliveira was stripped of the belt for missing weight in May 2022 CSGO
Meanwhile, Volkanovski’s featherweight title reign dates back to 2019, when he took the belt from Max Holloway CSGO
The Australian has since outpointed Holloway a further two times, while also winning his other three title defences – against Brian Ortega on points, and against Chan Sung Jung and Rodriguez via TKO CSGO
